| I am personally at a massive loss for words to what has happened.. I remember reading in the other thread, you guys would want to have a AvP Funeral for Tom, seeing as none of us would be able to go to the real one - in many ways, we'd all get to say good bye..
I for one love the idea, and would really like to be part of it, if it went ahead.. |

| Yes, I said this. And I would love for as many people that could possibly be there. I was thinking we could shut down all of our servers but the funeral and the raise the max players on this one. | |

| An electronic funeral ? , sorry to dissapoint but what in the blue hell is wrong with you people .
I´ve seen all of you write about how humble Tom was , idk if this is what he´d have wanted to be made considering we all payed our respects to him already.
We shouldn´t make this more dramatic than it already is . |

| Joe, Tom was big to us and it wouldnt be a funeral online really it would be more of a talking to each other and acknowledging his death. This guy wasnt some random person online to most of us but a family member. He cared for us and im pretty sure if one of us went flat broke lost our home ect that he would ask us to come live with him or that he would send us money. I said how I was going to buy avp2 before and he said how about i buy it for you before.
It would be a mourning over a fellow brother instead of some role playing game. Joe also think about it if we lost one of our members Tom would do the same exact thing and stop the servers for a day for a "day of silence". It is only human to want to grief a lose with other people that are grieving the same thing. It help keeps the human mind sane.

I hope not to offend anyone, but I agree with ROCK. This is stupid idea. Why not just use a chat room? Or make a VLog series on Youtube? Or maybe use a Skype/Xfire/Ventrilo call, so you can all talk about how sad you are? The idea of doing it in-game almost makes me laugh more than it makes me sad for Tom. I'm just sayin'.

| It is not just the people of raptor who grief the loss of tom, it is the community it self people are thankful for him and loved him even though they werent raptors. Shutting down the servers would be like a moment of silence or a half staff flag for a man that was KIA in war. It lets people honor his life. Think of it like this, a brave firefighter, EMT, doctor, police officer, or a person in the military just died and even though you dont know him you will still honor them and be thankful for what they did for you directly or indirectly. It is a time of silence to just pray and think of what they did for you. I dont know about you guys, but i would honor any human being trying to make a difference in a world one step at a time. Because it is not the big people in life that change the world it is the small individual people who are willing to change and help change other peoples lives. It is our time to Honor one of those small people. God bless Tom. | |

| I think it would be a great idea to name one of the servers to something like "R.I.P Tom" or maybe you guys already did that.

| I was thinking open server for anyone to attend, but it's up to the majority I guess. Just make it so that there is only marines. we couldnt name it umm.... -=RptRElite=- In Honor of a Great Man ... or ... We Salute A fallen Comrade -RptR-Sting ... or ... Remembrance: Sting, RIP Tom L.
Those are just suggestions, but keep in mind they have to be made short or they will be chopped when shown on the server listing. And we should do it soon. Like this weekend or next, the latest.

| I sort of side with the Rock and Demi on this one. To the point where I had to re-register. An online funeral won't do justice to his death. I don't know if my condolences were posted on the forums here yet, I'll have to search after this post.
I don't know Tom entirely too well, but an online funeral seems a bit excessive, especially with the immature shenanigans that can come up. It would quickly turn into a mockery, and it isn't the first online in-game funeral to do so.
I'm just trying to be respectful to him, and the hardest part is not knowing how.
R.I.P Tom. | |

| I'd say a rumble with his favorite games if anything is going to happen. We get to meet as a clan, we get to remember him through what he liked to do instead of how we feel about the ordeal. I think he'd just want us to have fun | |

| Well since it´s not mandatory and we are all free to do what we want , its fair to say those who still think they owe Tom something like this will attend and those of us who don´t feel ok with it will stay out . Simple as beer ppl .
Case solved . |

R.I.P Tom. There is a way to stop this we will have admins there during that server and anyone who is to be rude ect will be banned from that server (just the funeral one). But to prevent unwanted bannings every person who joins will be greeted by a message and told any rude disrespectful behavior would be banned. Almost like how you can hire veterans to help be security for a person lost at war today, they peacefully make people leave that are being disrespectful to the dead and the morners. Btw if we do this i want HunterTurk and Rastlyn to be there as it is your job as RaptoR RangeR's to keep peace in the servers

| I think a day of silence is good idea,...........But think more people should for him and his family sign his guest book on his memorial. let him rest in peace, and do what your going to do. |
