AvP2 CD's installed with official update

OK i got the CDs installed and official patch installed, now how can I connect to a server?

I noticed that gamespy is working for AvP2 but still cannot connect, I see these patches and full downloads avalible, what patch would I need if I installed from the CDs and installed the official patch.

1. Will I need to have the CD in the CDrom drive?
2. Will I need to have a CDkey?
3. Will I still be able to play singleplayer and save games?
4. Will I be able to install AvP2 on multiple computers?

Please also let me know what I will need to run a dedicated server.

AvP3 sucks because even the most powerfull duel vid card comp cannot play it at max setting, AvP2 had this problem when it was released, only ritch people could afford a comp to play it.

Someone please answer this question, WHY THE HELL IS THIS UNOFFICAL patch an .exe, why the hell cant it just be a .zip file that I can unzip into my game folder?

Why do I feel like if I use this patch I am spreading my ass cheaks to the person that made it.

I have released game files and patches in .exe before, but the user has the option to rename the file extention to .rar and use there own unpacking program to use the files.

They did it because there are some noobs that won't know where to put it. All you gotta do is run the EXE and locate your main AVP2 directory, and then it will install for you.

And don't worry if you're thinking the EXE is a virus, it's not. Well, there is a problem with that, your antivirus (if you have one) will think a program called GLIST is a virus, but it actually isnt, everyone uses this patch and not one person has gotten a virus.

and btw. I also have the original cd disk and I do still need to put the disk in to play.

Sorry to say, but you guys have NO common sense. AVP2 barely has as many members as it had before, and your just scaring people away instead of helping get more members.
