Welcome to "installing Aliens' versus Predator 2" for Dummies. You are proberly here because of seeing AvP2 on a YouTube video or a friend has told you about how fun and enjoyable this
ancient FPS is. Anyway, please follow these instructions to the
letter and I'll have you up and running in no time. Also make sure you are running EVERYTHING in administrator. (Xfire is important there.)
First off start download all of the following. This is all FREEWARE and is totally legal.
Asif that would stop you anyway.[list]

[*] Winrar, allows you to "unzrip" files uploaded on the internet. If you dont have it or somthing similar, download it here
[*] You will also need a program called "xfire" this is a small program which allows you to socialise with your fellow "gamers" it also launches games. Which is why your downloading it.

Once that is all downloaded start by dumping the Fox folder into your: /My Computer/C/Program Files
At this point, install the 1.0.9.6 patch FIRST. Then the Saviour patch. Not the other way around.
Now, Extract the suk folder and the stand alone sUk stronghold you downloaded into your lovely new Fox folder. Once its in, take the three files named "SUK-Stronghold-1.rez" "SUK-Stronghold-EVAC.rez" "SUK-Stronghold-2.rez" and drag them into your actual Aliens vs. Predator 2 folder ignore the Hadleys one, its unfisnished.
Keeping up?(I also recommend you rename the three SUK files you just moved in to, Suk1.rez Sukevac.rez Suk2.rez because sometimes the command line ((don't panic, we'll be getting to that later)) sometimes doesn't read really long names.)
If you've been so bold as to also download the raptorskinpack.rez put this in your Aliens' vs. Predator 2 folder where you just dropped the sUk stronghold stuff.
Now put Aliens' vs. Predator 2 to one side and install xfire. Once you've registered and signed your life away to them open up the console.
Here comes the tricky bit. Look for the button in the top left called "Tools" go to "Options" and then click on the games tab.
Once the green bar has run along the screen you'll either be presented with a list of your installed games with Aliens vs. Predator 2 included in them.
Or you wont see Aliens' vs Predator 2 there.
If you've found yourself in the latter, dont panic. - Simply scroll down to the arrow which says "Not installed" and scroll through the ALPHABETICAL order until you find Aliens vs. Predator 2. Manually find it yourself and link it up with hitting Apply.
With your Aliens vs Predator 2 now sitting nice and neatly in your installed games, its time to come to the command line. Click on Aliens vs Predator and under "Advanced Options" enter into the "Extra Command Line Parameters"
Pro Tip: Use Copy/paste! (CTRL+C and CTRL+V) (If you renamed your suk files like I told you this will be ALOT easier.)
-rez AvP2P5.rez -rez suk1.rez -rez suk2.rez -rez sukevac..rez -rez raptorskinpack.rez
Now hit okay.
Moment of truth, Launch Aliens vs. Predator 2 THROUGH Xfire, (If you launch it off the desktop you'll not be able to play online.) This is simply done by right clicking on your little xfire logo in the task tray and going to Launch > Aliens vs. Predator 2.
It'll boot up, go to Internet Games, you'll know if it worked because you'll be promoted to download an update click NO. (Shock horror, you'd thought it be yes eh?) and you can play online. Enjoy!
P.S If you get to the internet games and it prompts you for a CD-Key, chances are you messed up. So go back and re-read my tutorial, chances are you'll need to unfuck yourself on somthing quite simple.
