You've all probably experienced problems in accessing the server list lately. Well, something did happen: our master server account was suspended.

Now, two good things came as a result of this:
1) I found out that there are some people in the community willing to help. Those people are not too many, but any game community should be proud to have them. Fortunately, we did not have to resort to their help.
2) I re-discovered gslist.

Gslist is a command line tool to retrieve a list of servers from Gamespy dirrectly.

The next step is to incorporate gslist to our ms_client.dll, and thus obtain

MASTER SERVER PATCH 1.5
Some features of 1.5 are worth to be noted:
Server owners are not required to update! Only players must download and install it.
The server list is retrieved from gamespy, so servers that were not visible in 1.4 are now back
The unique player ID algorithm is fixed. I received positive feedback from a number of people who had problems joining servers on account of GUIDs that they can now join pretty much all the servers.


So, grab it while it's hot!

may there coming out like octuplets coming from a 90 year old

1.6 will maybe fix the bad kickban system?
coz i see a lot of issues with this.
