Hey there

I want to share my personal MegaMod for AvP2
It is a complete overhaul for AvP2 means allmost every sound and every texture has been replaced.
So this mod collection has a lot of stuff taken from various soundpacks, skin packs etc.

so it contains:

- Complete Environment Texture overhaul (HQP - High Resolution Textures (2.0) by Yaji
- all Marine Weapons replaced
- all Marine Weapon Sounds replaced
- all Marine Skins replaced
- all Corporate Skins replaced
- all Predator Skins replaced
- all Predator Sounds replaced
- all Alien Skins replaced
- a lot of sounds taken from Starcraft and Duke Nukem 3D
- and several sounds(Spidermine trigger, taunts,etc) and skins(Sniper Rifle,Smartgun,etc) I ve made by myself.

And if you also have customized your avp2 feel free to share it with us either

How to install my mod:

1. put the EpicMod.rez file in the main avp2 dir

2. start your avp2 launcher -> go to options -> click "Always specify these command line parameters"

3. type: -rez EpicMod.rez in the command line (if you using ump2 make sure it looks like this: -rez EpicMod.rez -rez ump2)

thats it have fun

2 questions about this:

Its server friendly?...i mean can i play in servers that are not using this mod?

when you say "all marine weapons changed" ........are you talking about the 3D models or just the skins?

anyway i will download it and tell you my impressions.

i tested it......pretty cool......can you modificate the models of weapons to makethem look better?

1. yes, offcourse, its server friendly. This mod has been specialiced on Survivor gameplay mode(means predators are untouched)


2. only skins replaced due to server friendlyness

f you modificate the 3d models of th weapons......the mod will continue being server friendly?
or the filter will take it like a hack?
for example you can modificate the shotgun to make it look like the duke nukem 3d shotgun....that will be cool.

ok i ve decided to concentrate my modding skillz on the new AvP so no further improvments for AvP2 ahead srry.
But if you wanna modiefy my mod just use winrez to extract and package the files.

new weapon models ?

as i said i will concentrate my efforts on the new one if its even possible to mod.

New models are uncompatible in mp anyway so no new fenzy weapon models in sight srry.
